PHOENIX plans to change Tamro corporate structure
Tamro begins employee negotiations
The PHOENIX group plans to change its sub-group Tamro's corporate structure. In the new operational model Tamro's current business units would report directly to PHOENIX group. Tamro Group operates in the Nordic and the Baltic countries and Poland. The PHOENIX group is one of the leading pharmaceutical distributors in Europe with operations in 23 countries.
Employee negotiations have been initiated in the Tamro Corporate center according to the Finnish labor law. Planned changes would have effect to maximum of 17 employees in Vantaa, Finland. The Tamro business units continue all their operations normally, and the suppliers and customers are not affected by the planned changes. Tamro is Finlands' market leader in pharmaceutical distribution with 54 % market share.
Juha Koponen, the President and CEO of Tamro Group and Managing Director of Tamro Finland, has decided to leave the company following the planned changes. Current Tamro Group CFO Sakari Ahdekivi has been appointed Managing Director of Tamro Finland and Tamro Baltics with immediate effect. The combined turnover of Tamro Finland and Tamro Baltics is one billion euros and the units have more than 1700 employees.
